請大家先來參觀著名的“澹泊敬誠殿”。整個大殿用珍貴的楠木建造，因此又叫“楠木殿”。每當陰雨連綿之時，楠木散發著縷縷清香，沁人心脾。大殿外觀古樸淡雅，不飾彩繪，殿內大理石鋪地，據說地下還埋有厚達30釐米的瑪瑙，一到夏天，宮殿裡就會清涼無比。“避暑勝地”因此而得名。

我們首先來到的是12座金碧輝煌、雄偉壯觀的喇嘛寺廟群，它們環列在山莊外的東部和北部的山麓，共佔地47.2萬平方米。一處處寺廟像一座座豐碑，記載著清朝統一和團結的歷史。
我們現在是在一座亭子裡，這座亭子叫“南山積雪”。大家可以向後轉，前面遙相對立的亭子叫做“四面雲山”。再向左邊轉一下，就可以看見另一座涼亭，叫做“錘鋒落照”。每當夕陽西照，對面馨錘鋒就會被紅色的霞光照得金碧生輝，故名“錘鋒落照”。站在這三座亭子中的任何一座上，遠眺，都可以把山莊的各個景點、山莊外的幾座大型寺廟、周圍山上的奇峰怪石以及承德市區一覽無餘。
