Appetizer/First Course前菜
美式叫法：Starter
西餐的主菜，以大塊肉類為主，或者是整塊魚，或大個頭的海鮮中國人概念裡的主食和素食，比如麵包和土豆泥。也會作為配菜(Side Dish)一齊奉上美國快餐店的選單，還有1主n配的`套餐(Combo)。
Dressing / Sauce醬汁
Dressing指的不是裙子，是沙拉的調味汁，Sauce泛指搭配菜餚和甜點的各種蘸汁、燒汁，比如番茄醬(Ketchup)、肉滷(Gravy)，一般來講sauce比dressing要濃稠重口一些厚重感再強一點的，叫Paste。
Dessert/Pudding甜點
