On the Chinese Translation of English Attributive Clauses
Abstract
This thesis is mainly about how to translate English attributive clauses into Chinese. First, the definition of the English attributive clauses and different kinds of the English attributive clauses are introduced. Grammar is very important and also the most difficult part in English. Attributive clause is a very important phenomenon. In order to learn it well, we must know how to translate them into Chinese and learn how to use them freely. An attributive clause is a clause that modifies a noun or a pronoun . The noun or the pronoun that was qualified is called the antecedent. Attributive clauses are usually introduced by relative pronouns like which, that, who, whom and whose and relative adverbs like where, why and when. Attributive clauses include restrictive attributive clauses and non- restrictive attributive clauses. In this thesis some methods are discussed to translate them into Chinese, and then the definition, the kinds of English attributive clauses and how to translate them into Chinese are going to know.

摘 要
本文主要論及英語定語從句的漢譯。首先,瞭解清楚了定語從句的定義以及種類.語法在英語中非常重要的同時也是較難以攻克的1個部分.而英語定語從句又是1個很重要的語法現象，所以必須知道怎麼樣將其翻譯成漢語並且將其靈活運用。定語從句是修飾名詞,以及以同樣形式修飾形容詞，介詞片語的從句。被修飾的名詞被稱為先行詞。在這篇論文中，學習了把英語中定語從句翻譯成漢語的`1些方法。並且涉及到了1些該注意的問題。學習完這篇論文後，我們清楚的瞭解了定語從句的定義，種類以及如何將其譯成漢語。
